Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the installation take?
Installation time varies depending on the model. It is generally around 15 minutes on a Sherco.
Which countries do you currently deliver to?
Delivery is currently available to the countries offered at checkout: Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, and Czechia.
If your country does not yet appear at checkout, it means that delivery is not yet available for it through the shop. You can complete our international interest form to help us prioritize future openings.
Why isn't my country listed during payment?
If your country does not yet appear at checkout, it simply means that we have not yet opened deliveries there.
We are progressing country by country, according to demand and logistical possibilities. You can help us speed things up by completing our international interest form.
When will sales open in my country?
International expansion will happen step by step, but it is definitely part of our plans.
The next destinations will depend, in particular, on the number of interested pilots in each country. Let us know about your demand by filling out our international interest form and help us choose the next steps.
When will I receive my order?
For in-stock products, orders are generally prepared and shipped within 3 to 4 business days after payment validation.
Once the package is handed over to the carrier, the delivery time depends on the destination country and the delivery method chosen at the time of order.
In the case of pre-orders or deferred shipments, the specific timeframe will be clearly indicated on the product page, in the cart, or before order confirmation.
What is the difference between the two versions?
The Power Pad allows you to maintain or charge your phone's battery during use, if your phone is compatible with induction charging.
The MX version does not include charging. It serves solely as a handlebar phone mount foam, simpler and without electrical connection.
Are the pads made in France?
Yes. The pads are designed, customized, printed, and assembled in Auvergne, in the Ride2Fun Parts workshop.
Is my phone compatible?
The product accepts most smartphones up to approximately 168 x 84 mm, case included.
Before ordering, you will need to measure your phone with its case.
Are bulky, shock-proof cases compatible?
Very thick cases, cases with integrated batteries, kickstands, rings, or reinforced protection may exceed the intended dimensions. For wireless charging, metallic cases are not compatible.
Which motorcycles is the product compatible with?
The product is designed for motorcycles equipped with standard enduro/supermoto/motocross handlebars without a crossbar. The central area of the handlebars must be sufficiently clear. The external spacing between the handlebar clamps must not exceed 145 mm.
Is this compatible with all handlebars?
No. The product may not be compatible if a strengthening bar, a counter, a hose, a cable, a GPS mount or a special top yoke interferes with the installation.
If in doubt, you can send us a photo of your handlebars before ordering.
Can all phones be recharged?
Charging only works with phones compatible with wireless inductive charging.
Is charging fast?
This depends on the phone, the case, the alignment, the outside temperature, and current usage. When using GPS navigation with the screen on, charging may mainly serve to limit the phone's discharge.
Can the phone get hot?
In the event of a combination of unfavorable conditions: direct sunlight, high outside temperature, active GPS, very bright screen, inductive charging, and the motorcycle stopped or at very low speed, yes. In this case, some phones may reduce the charge or temporarily go into safety mode to protect themselves.
Should the power be cut when the motorcycle is stopped?
Yes. The rechargeable version has a switch. You need to turn off the power when the motorcycle is stopped to avoid draining the battery. For reference, the charging device consumes less than 50 mA when no charging is in progress. It can go up to 1.2A during charging.
Is the phone protected?
The foam and cover are designed to hold the phone in place and protect it from vibrations, splashes, and minor impacts. However, no mount can guarantee complete protection in the event of a significant drop or violent impact.
Can the touchscreen be used through the cover?
Yes. The cover allows you to use the touchscreen without taking out your phone. Sensitivity may vary depending on the phone, gloves, humidity, or screen protector.
Is the product waterproof?
It is designed to withstand splashes and normal off-road use. It should not be considered fully waterproof, especially in cases of immersion or high-pressure washing.
Is it difficult to install?
The MX version is simply installed on the handlebars using 3 clamps.
The version with charging also requires a 12V electrical connection directly to the motorcycle's battery or to a 12V power source.
Can I install the chargeable version myself?
Yes, if you are comfortable with a simple motorcycle electrical connection. If in doubt, it is best to ask a competent person.
Are metal cases compatible?
No. Metal cases, metal plates, and certain magnetic accessories can interfere with wireless charging, significantly reduce its efficiency, or cause abnormal heating. They are not recommended with the Ride2fun Power Pad.
Can the phone get hot with wireless charging?
Yes, especially when multiple unfavorable conditions are combined: active GPS, high brightness, induction charging, direct sunlight, high outside temperature, and the motorcycle is stopped or moving at very low speed. In this case, some phones may reduce charging or temporarily go into thermal protection mode.
Can the system damage my phone's camera?
No motorcycle mount can guarantee full protection for a smartphone camera, as this depends on the phone, the motorcycle, the terrain, and the intensity of the vibrations.
For our part, we tested the Power Pad and MX Pad for several months in enduro conditions with several phones, including iPhone 13, iPhone 15, and Samsung S22 Ultra, without observing any damage to the cameras.
What is the maximum phone size accepted?
The maximum recommended size is 168 × 84 × 13 mm, including the case. Before ordering, measure your phone with its case. Very thick cases, rugged smartphones, foldable phones, or cases with integrated accessories may not be compatible.
